Some other information that can be interesting to know is that the shuttle between Lökholmen and Sandhamn doesn’t takes more than 5 minutes and for those who will bring some relatives/friends who will not participate in the racing it can be good to know there is several options to visit Stockholm from Sandhamn. There are boats (and buses from Stavsnäs) going back and forth to Stockholm, many times a day. It might be a good idea to book the accommodation well in time
Here is a simple map (pdf 622 kB) (albeit with links to Googlemaps for the "hotspots") to give some understanding of the location of Sandhamn. Unfortunately the map starts from Saltsjöbaden but for your information Saltsjöbaden is real close to Stockholm, just 15-20 minutes to the east.
